8 Guys Going to Myrtle Beach Next October - Where to Stay?

I have a group of 8 guys visiting in early October for golf and fun. We are in our early to mid 30%26#39;s and have no idea where to stay. We%26#39;d like somewhere close to night life and a resort that has a few restaurants or lounges. Please help!

You have a number of options here at the beach....this is a great place to gather more info/advice. Take a look at some of the reviews off to the left of this thread.....

A resort that is centrally located (and does offer some decent golf packages) would be The Breakers Resort....be sure to ask for the Paradise Tower if this is where you decide to stay...this property is located in what we call the 21st Ave N Corridor...close to a number of places to grab a bite or a cold one (right next door to one of my fav beach bars --- Bummz, with nightly entertainment!) and not too far of a walk, cab or car ride to Broadway at the Beach. (a number of places to party there too!).

Good Luck!

I%26#39;d be looking at golf/lodging package deals. You can often get basically ';free'; golf %26amp; sometimes breakfasts %26amp; other bonuses for pretty much what the hotel rates alone would cost.

These deals will not give you ';unlimited'; choices of golf courses, but you can always pay a little extra to upgrade to better courses %26amp; you%26#39;ll still be saving in the long run.

If I was looking for a central location I would stay around Broadway at the Beach, the best place for entertainment and night life. You can stay in hotel around the outside of Broadway at Beach, helpful if you will be enjoying evening festivities and do not need to be driving. Myrtlewood golf course is a mile away, which also offers condo rentals. Depening if you want kitchen, or daily maid service, something to consider. North Myrtle Beach may offer some good golf packages but less night life. You don%26#39;t need to stay Ocean Blvd, only if you want to look at the ocean. Otherwise, stay off ocean, it is cheaper and will work just as well. When you go to Braodway at the Beach, go to Crocodile Rocks, with dueling pianos, we love it, its funny and entertaining. Go early to get a seat though.

During October, you can get great deals on ocean front homes and condos. If you are on the beach, you won%26#39;t be as close to Broadway and Barefoot, but a very short drive/taxi. I%26#39;d recommend staying right on the beach.
