transportation in myrtle beach,sc

I am attending a conference in myrtle beach the end of March. Do I need to rent a car for the week, or can you walk or use public transit.

It is possible to get by without a car but not recommended. There is a bus service. Not real sure about how dependable it is. Some resorts and hotels have shuttle service to and from some of the bigger attractions. Then you have taxis.

There are attractions and restaurants spread out for miles up and down the Grand Strand. Being there for a week you%26#39;ll have plenty of time to visit some of them. With a car you would be free to go when and where you wanted to. No phone calls or waiting.

Guess it depends too on where your conference is located at. If you are attending a conference at the Convention Center and staying at the Sheraton there, you are pretty much centrally located to a number of places, and the hotel does offer a really great shuttle service. If you are staying at the Kingston Plantation --- which is still a really nice property, but not as convienent. If you have alot of spare time (depending on your conference schedule) I think I would consider at least renting a car for a day or two just to see the sites further south (Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Isle, Georgetown).

A car isnt totally necessary, but it does makes things a bit more convienent.

:)

I would go with a car if you can. MB isn%26#39;t like a bustling city where you can step out %26amp; hail a taxi in minutes.
