Winter activities for seniors........

My wife %26amp; I will be heading to MB in about a month for a month or so. We would like to fly our elderly moms down for a visit, %26amp; other than the shows, what can we line up for them to do? They%26#39;re not golfers, but they both love to play bridge. The one enjoys history/museums, etc.

Thanks to all.

I think they would probably enjoy Brookgreen Gardens. Check on this site for activites. www.brookgreen.org

The Myrtle Beach Senior Center is also a great place! I know my dad really enjoyed going over there daily for the card games! The above poster listed their website, which is very informative....list their calendar thru December....they are located on 21st Ave N, not far from Broadway at the Beach. Here%26#39;s their # (843) 626-3991

:)

The former air force recreation base has bingo on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10AM to 12 - they just need to bring a 1$ prize for prize table

Could also head up to Little River and lose a few bucks on the gambling boats if they%26#39;re into that. It%26#39;s a least a nice ride out through the ICW from what I%26#39;ve heard. Also have the Coastal Carolina Museum and planetarium up over the line in NC. Great aquarium farther up in Kure Beach.

How about wine tasting?.....Belle Amie is in Little River (VERY nice place!) and one more (can%26#39;t remember the name) up in Shallotte.

If you feel like taking the drive to the Florence area, the cotton museum is really something to see.
