Anyone been to these condos?

Has anyone been to TILGHMAN LAKES or SEA ISLAND VILLAS condos? If so what did u think of them? Also I was wondering between the Cherry Grove or Crescent area which is a better place to vacation? This will be my first time in Myrtle Beach.

Anyone been to these condos?

Don%26#39;t know anything about the condos. One beach section vs another is a matter of personal opinion. Myself I like Cherry Grove better than Cresent.

South end of NMB has really built up the last few years. Windy Hill is pretty much a wall of high rise condo buildings. Cresent is catching up fast.

Cherry Grove is still mostly the smaller type condo buildings. Many beach houses. Less crowded.

Cresent is closer to attractions like Barefoot Landing and Alligater Adventure. Difference in drive times maybe ten minutes. Drive time to Broadway at The Beach would be similar. From Cherry Grove you could run out to Rt 31 and pretty much a straight stoplight free shot to Broadway.

Main drag into Cherry Grove is called Sea Mountain Highway. Large IGA grocery store there along with beach shops and several small restaurants and snack bars. Very convenient location.

I prefer Cherry Grove section over Crescent...hands down. Overall, just seems cleaner to me. Cherry Grove is the most north section of NMB....lots of beach and channel homes, inlet, and smaller (but older) condos. High rises are now starting to crop up, but still like the area. Cherry Grove also has a fishing pier. Tilghman Lakes is a large, spread out complex. It%26#39;s nice, but depending on which condo you stay in, could be a couple blocks to the beach (some are right across the street). Not familiar w/ Sea Island. Check out Elliott Realty for other possible condos.

I%26#39;ve never been to either; I looked them up and they look fine from what I saw. Maybe you can get more pictures? I assume Tilghman Lakes is in the Tilghman Beach section between Ocean Drive and Cherry Grove? That%26#39;s a nice quieter section of NMB if so; mostly made up of NMB%26#39;s larger and nicer beach homes. Not totally but a larger portion than most sections. Everything is busy at most beaches during summer months. Personally if I were rating the sections of NMB, I%26#39;d rate Cherry Grove last but I like Cherry Grove and it definitely has the best fishing nearer the inlet but it has the worst beaches too. That said, the beach is fine. Boulineau%26#39;s IGA is a very nice store; not just a grocery store. Cherry Grove doen%26#39;t have as much to offer so when you mention something nice there, one spot gets a lot of pub. After you go north of Sea Mountain Hwy., the main artery back to Highwat 17 or Highway 9; you%26#39;re in no man%26#39;s land for getting out. You must come back to Sea Mountain highway to exit, unless you%26#39;re going to swim. Sea Mountain is between 23rd and 24th Ave. north and most of Cherry Grove is north of it. 63rd Ave. north is the last street perpendicular to Ocean Blvd. I believe? Scan around on a mapquest map of North Myrtle; google earch will give your sone pictures from around 2003 but that%26#39;s changed a lot. I agree with pop that Cherry Grove has less highrises but they%26#39;re building them fast. Land is at a premium and the only way to get more for your money is to go up. I like all of North Myrtle Beach! I own in Crescent Beach and like it very much. I%26#39;ve stayed in them all...Windy Hill, Crescent, Ocean Drive and Cherry Grove and unofficially named Ingram Beach and the Tilghman Beach section. Ocean Drive is main drag but it%26#39;s very nice. What%26#39;s apples to one person, is cherries to another. They%26#39;re all great vacation spots....try one this year and another next year. I%26#39;d recommend looking at vrbo.com or vacationrentals.com or the like; they%26#39;re mostly owners advertising with tons of photos of the condos or beach houses and the surrounding area. I like century21 thomas and grandstrandresorts for rental companies; I%26#39;m sure others do fine too. Good luck and I wish I knew more about the 2 places you mentioned.

Theres a Sea Island hotel around 62 and Ocean Blvd. in the Northern section of Myrtle Beach. This hotel just finished a complete renovation a few months back.

It is located in the best section of M.B. and has no high-rise condos on either side of it.Would be a great choice as it is located about 5 miles from Broadway at the Beach and about 7 miles from Barefoot Landing.
