I have a couple other questions about the myrtle beach area

First off we booked 5nights/5rounds of golf at the Grande Shores in the first week of Feburary. We just found out the River Club back nine will be unavailable that week so which of these courses would you recommend instead MB National West course, Litchfield, or Aberdeen?

Secondly we are a group of four guys in early 30%26#39;s we are looking for a good sports pub to watch the Superbowl or for that matter a good place to hang out after golfing. (good food a plus). Or if there is any other after golf activities that might spark our interest, maybe like a fishing charter, any recommendations would be appreciated for this is our first visit to MB. Thanks!

I think some of your questions were answered in you 12/18 post. A mention of Aberdeen being ';soggy%26#39; at that time of year, Litchfield is a bit of a drive, MB National, its on 501 in Conway, can%26#39;t give you info on that course.

Ditto to OVERTIME in NMB, also, I have said before Crocodile Rocks at Broadway at Beach is a good time for everyone as ';another'; activity. (NO I do not own stock in it) I do plug it whenever I can, it is always enjoyable and entertaining. Crocodile Rocks is located by many restaurants at Broadway. You can head to Barefoot Landing for more restaurants. NO SHORTAGE of good food around here.

Hi Michigan,

First of all, your group is going to love Myrtle Beach......

As far as the choices for golf to replace the River Club:

- stay away from Aberdeen (it really is ';soggy'; in Feb)

- Litchfield is the most visually impressive of the 3, but is a longer

drive. Although it is right next to the River Club.

- MB national West is a traditional course which is always in good

shape. It is good, fair golf, and probably your best opportunity to shoot your handicap or better.

You might want to consider the Liberty Tavern at Broadway at the Beach for super bowl or just after golf. They make their own beer, which is worthwhile, and they have excellent food, good portions, good service and are reasonably priced (it%26#39;s all true). Plus, they have various beverage specials for the bar area only.......

Let us all know what you decide and how you make out in MB.....
