Myrtle Beach in February or March - How's the weather?

We were considering going to Myrtle Beach in February or March and wasn%26#39;t sure how warm it will be. Would you be able to use heated outdoor pools? Any information would be helpful. Thanks, Beeker

It%26#39;s really hit or miss...

If you check the MEDIAN daytime high temps for that period (in the 60%26#39;s) it can be misleading...when the rest of the country gets a cold snap (maybe 25 degrees colder than normal) MB will too...but conversely, some days will be in the mid to upper 70%26#39;s.

so...you have to pack quite a variety of clothes.

As far as heated outdoor pools, good luck finding one....very few to be found. Most places have heated INDOOR pools, however. Outdoor spas are great even in very cold weather.

One tip the snowbirds have learned is that if you can get out of the wind on a sunny day, by about noon it can be warm enough to sunbathe for a few hours, even on the colder days.

Thanks Daddio361 - we were thinking about staying at the Fairfield Seawatch Plantation. We have an RCI Certificate for a week%26#39;s stay. I saw some bad reviews but don%26#39;t know if these were the same condo units. There were also some really good reviews. We are not much for sunbathing, but do like to walk the beach.

Some hotels that have outdoor heated pool start heating them around the middle to the end of March.

This is a wonderful time to go. We usualy go around the second to third weekend in March. Everything is usualy opened but the water parks. No huge crowds. etc.

Thanks CBR. We will just have to see what is open for the places to stay. February or March would be fine with us. Sounds like it might be a bit warmer in March. Again thanks for your info.
