vacation with toddler in Feb?

Hi,

We are thinking about taking a vacation at Seabrook in February. We have a 15 month old. Do you think he would enjoy it? Would it be too cold to spend any meaningful amount of time outside? We live in the Boston area, so we don%26#39;t mind bundling up (a little).

Any advice on how we would spend 3-4 days in the area?

Thanks!

February will be cold, although not as cold as in Boston. On Kiawah, which is next door to Seabrook, at that time of year we enjoy bicycling, kayaking, walking on the beach, and shopping or dining in Charleston. It is generally too cold for swimming, but you will still see golfers bundled up in their carts with carriage blankets. Mid-day might be OK for tennis. On the other hand, in a rare year you might get brilliant sunshine and air temps in the 70%26#39;s.

My guess is that your 15-month-old will enjoy any vacation in which he is included. Stroll around and take a carriage ride in Charleston. Enjoy the birds, the alligators, live oaks and palmettos, and the flowers (still be blooming unless there has been an unusual hard freeze). The lowcountry environment is completely different and enjoyable at any time.

When in February are you thinking of visiting? FYI, Presidents wknd is our property owners meeting. Most owners try to visit at this time so accommodations may be a little ';tougher'; to find (i.e. you might not get your top choice).

As Kiawahvilla stated, Feb. can be a little cool. But there is nothing better to me than throwing on a sweater and hat; grapping a beverage and walking on the deserted beach;-)

BTW, the club does have a pool that is heated. Make sure whomever you rent from provides the amenity cards for you to access the club%26#39;s facilities.

You%26#39;ll have a great time just escaping the harsh winter of Boston.
