Great places to go crabbing in Myrtle Beach ??

Just wondering if anyone knows of any places to go crabbing in Myrtle Beach besides a pier on the ocean of course ..We went crabbing while we were there last week at Garden City community park on a pier .. it was in a marsh area ..we caught a few bigger crabs , but most were just babies and had to toss them back .

A few places that I can think off would be in the Litchfield area...near the causeway bridge, Murrells Inlet along the marsh, or in the Huntington Beach State Park area...in fact they do a ';class'; on crabbing there.

Cherry Grove Inlet (it%26#39;s more of a salt water marsh) has decent crabbing. Could be wrong, but don%26#39;t think there is much to be had this time of year. Blue Crab season is in full swing in June.

Huntington Beach State Park is a great place to go crabbing!

Have you gone crabbing? Came across your post while searching for crabbing spots. I am thinking about visiting North Myrtle Beach and taking my children crabbing the weekend of Thanksgiving but wasn%26#39;t sure if there would be any crab to catch....

Any insight would be much welcomed!

Here are two sites for information in NMB. Boulineaus%26#39;s IGA/True Value has a large fishing supply department.

If it was me you were asking yes, I have been crabbing and although it has been several years now since I last went Huntington is where I would always go.
