Main St. Inn vs. Westin

Realizing these are two different properties with respect to style,size , beach access,etc.-how do they compare.I will be traveling with my wife and 14 year old daughter in the spring and look forward to visiting HH very much.

Main St. Inn vs. Westin

Main Street Inn has the ambiance of a B%26amp;B. The Westin is more of a convention hotel.

If you like a big hotel with hotel amenities then the Westin is for you. If you want a more boutique experience then you should try the Main Street Inn.

I can%26#39;t comment on the Main Street Inn, but I have stayed at the Westin on all of my recent visits to HHI, and have yet to be disappointed. It is right on the ocean, with several pools, restaurants, and beach access. Although the island view rooms do not afford much of a view of the water, the ocean view rooms are spectacular. There%26#39;s nothing like waking up to a Hilton Head sunrise over the ocean every morning!

Since you are traveling with a 14 year old daughter, I would recommend the Westin. Marriott%26#39;s Barony is right by the Westin too. Main St. Inn is a wonderful property but it is closer to Hwy. 278 so you would have to drive to the beach.

Thanks for you insight.The Westin sounds like the right place for us.Thank you for spending the time to reply.It really does make a difference!!!!Looking forward to our trip.Now if only the sun cooperates.

Any thoughts on some ';local'; restaurants with good food and close to the water.
