Grand Atlantic Resort

Has anyone see the Grand Atlantic? How about the rooms? The website still doesn%26#39;t show rooms yet and we may be going soon. Any advice?

Grand Atlantic Resort

I%26#39;m sure the property is beautiful on the inside....what I dont undertand with all these new properties popping up in the area is how close they have to build to the road (Ocean Blvd.) There are a number of new places on the south end that are at the maximum height (for MB) and have NO space out front...just enough room for a small sidewalk....give a few years it will be a concrete alley! Yikes!

Sea Island is the same way....no ';front yard';....on the other hand you have South Wind Villas that sets back and actually makes the place look ';grander';.....

IMO....

The pool pictures that are on the slide-show under ameinties are from the hotel next door.

For some reson the Grand Atlantics web address is www.firebirdinn.com which is the hotel that used to be there. I thought that was weird.

The web site says that they are opening September 2006 so by that it should be open.

travelizfun,

We took a tour of a 3bdrm at Grand Atlantic this Sept. It is very nice, spacious, and well decorated. The pools look really nice too.

Go to www.vrbo.com and click on Myrtle Beach, click on Myrtle Beach again and then click on Grand Atlantic. There are several units for rent by the owners and some good pictures that may give you a better idea of what the place looks like.

Thank you so much for your help! I%26#39;ll try that now.

I have stayed there. Very nice building with nice pools. All units (with the exception of efficencies) are ocean front and have spectacular views.

Project has enclosed corridors. Corridors above the 8th floor have a view out of the large glass section on the front of the building, although, the 8th floor looks out at all of the A/C units that are placed on the roof of the conference room. Floors 7 and below are garage level floors and have no view from the corridors. Garage is a part of the building which is nice as you don%26#39;t have to cross the street (parking spaces are tight).

The project has a nice sized outdoor pool, outdoor kid pool with 2 mushroom fountains and waterfall, indoor kid pool with 1 mushroom fountain and floor jet sprites, indoor pool, and nice indoor lazy river.

I would recommend a floor 10 or above so that you are well above the air conditioning eye sore on the roof of the conference room.

I some photos but don%26#39;t see a place to post them.

Hope this helps

AMW you can post a report and put the pictures on there
