Possible Relocation to the area

There is a chance that we may be moving to the Hilton Head area.

We were told that several of the spouse%26#39;s potential colleagues live in Bluffton.

Our youngest heads off to college next fall so we don%26#39;t have to worry about schools.

Right now we are in a teeny-tiny town with one grocery store, no mall, no movie theater, no Starbucks (thank god), so relocating to a slower-moving community would not be a tremendous shock to us.

Mostly I am just interested in Bluffton%26#39;s atmosphere, its people, the homes...is there a sort of downtown? Is the crime rate still fairly low?

We don%26#39;t lock our door here, perhaps we%26#39;re spoiled.

I have been renting here for a year now so am anxious to buy my own home though I know we should not rush into that.
