Hello MBConcierge coming to mrytle beach again

I want to thank you for all your tips from last year. We ate at that Italian restaraunt you recommend can%26#39; t think of the name right now. We are coming to mrytle beach again this year, family member getting married in Wilmington NC. So the wife and I and boys 6 and 8 are coming to mrytle beach for 2 nites. Is there any new hotels in the area? We stayed at Monterey Beach hotel with an oceanfront room last year. The view was awesome! You have any recommendations to do with kids or places to eat. Also, what are the chances of seeing dolphins? Where is the best place or time to see them? We are coming to mrytle beach on june 18,19.

Hello MBConcierge coming to mrytle beach again

Grand Shores Ocean Resort 77th Ave N, or Marriott Ocean Watch at Grande Dunes-nice resorts. Check out the MB Hotel section of trip advisor and read the reviews. If you are in NC you might want to stay in North MB, less of a drive. Cherry Grove in N. MB has a pier you can walk out on and watch the fisherman catch different things and look into the water you might see some dolphins/porpoises.

HOW is Fulton these days, I went to William Woods 1975-1978. Small world. We are going to Key West in April and there is a person posting who lives in Columbia MO and his girlfriend graduated from William Woods in 1998. I am in Myrlte Beach rare to find anyone here who has ever heard of WW.

Hello MBConcierge coming to mrytle beach again

Fulton is still a small town like it was in 1978, but if you go to Columbia it has grown alot you would not recognize it if you have not been here since 78. I have lived in fulton all my life. Are you orginally from the area?

From St Louis, left MO in 1978, moved around quite a bit, my parents are still in St Louis. I love living in Myrtle Beach, been in SC since 1986. Maybe someday I will get to a reunion in Fulton.

MB has so much to do, you asked about the Hurricane Fleet in Calabash, my husband says they are good. We are in the boat sales business, there is no guarantees you won%26#39;t get seasick, just depends on the weather conditions and the person. You can see dolphins in the Intracoastal waterway frequently.

Thanks for the kudos...lets see...new places --- (I do still like Monteray Bay...good value for the $$)...in the same area, just a bit south is Dunes Village..just opened this past fall, looks great..nice pool area..but they will have construction going on next door and across the street for most of this upcoming season. Towards the south end of MB are a number of new places..but also quite a bit of construstion, too.

Not sure what you%26#39;ve done with the kids when here llast time...I really like the Adventure Cruise offered at Hurricane Fleet (www.hurricanefleet.com)...and renting a hobie cat at downwind sails...(they do offer lessons) at Downwind Sails just off 29th Ave S in MB...or how about a surfing lesson while they are here? Surf City in MB offers a great beginners package...amazing how those kids really catch on!

As for places to eat...wow...thats a list...up in the area where Monteray Bay is are a few of my favs...Liberty Tap Room and Grille (some of the best meatloaf ever!) Great sandwiches too! Villa Mare is another great little Italian Place...China Dragon for Chinese, Cheeseburger in Paradise (great place for kids and they have live music daily!)...and another great value for the $$ Fiesta Mexicana...great Mexican food! Rumor had it that a new BBQ place is about to open where the old Dairy Queen used to be (corner of 62nd and Kings)...will keep you posted....and next to the food lion there is Luigi%26#39;s...great Italian and wonderful Pizzas! We have a new ';buffet'; in town called Rioz...owned by the same group that own T-Bonz....its a Brazilian steakhouse...and if you are a huge meat lover its really a bargin! $34.95 alll you can eat...and we%26#39;re talking quality meats! And a fantastic salad and veggie bar!

As for the dolphins...best time of day is early morning or just prior to sunset....seems they feed close to that time of day. The Adventure cruise is a great place to see them too!

Hope this gives you some ideas!

:)

Maybe parts of the ICW you%26#39;ll see dolphins....but the area of the ICW that is located in MB is all freshwater...Dolphin are saltwater fish..just didnt want to get peoples hopes up that they could wander over to the Marina at Grande Dunes or up to Barefoot Landing and see dolphins. You will see them close to where you have an inlet area to the ocean....

:)

We work at Coquina Harbor in Little River and there are dolphin in the harbor all the time. My husband is in the boat business at Coquina and there is never a shortage of them swimming around. Freshwater begins around the LR swingbridge.

Hopefully they will take the dolphin tour on the Hurricane Fleet to see marine life. When you are out on the docks alot in Little River you do see them. So if you are wanting to see dolpins ICW you will have to look north of the swing bridge.

';DD'; I will defer to MBConcierge, she is way more knowledgeable about accomodations and activities. MB is a great town and you will have no shortage of things to do. There are nice resorts/condo%26#39;s already open and more coming. Say hello to the Fultonites for me!
