Agree. It%26#39;s also about your only option as Beaufort and surrounding islands are surrounded by water, but primarily marshes and canals...no beaches.
There is a wonderful island (Harbor Island) between Beaufort and Huntington - great beaches, super quiet - but it%26#39;s a gated community. However, owners of condos and houses rent out their properties - check out various web sites ex. www.vrbo.com.
