Boardwalk Beach Resort

Our group (cheerleaders) booked a block of rooms at this resort for March 16 - 20. Now I am reading bad reviews. Apparently the only good part of the resort is the main tower. No doubt we are booked in the dreaded south tower. Anyone have any recent opinions on this resort?

Boardwalk Beach Resort

Having been a dance and cheerleader mom, I know from experience that most likely your girls will not really care about the going to the beach in March. We had mentioned before the weather will be iffy at best but will not be swimming weather. They will say they want the beach and bet you they don%26#39;t spend an hour on it. The girls will want to hang out together and I think somewhere like Broadway at the Beach with all the stores will be more fun for them. If you could book close to there with an indoor pool, I would think that would be preferable. The hundreds of times we went somewhere we learned to not book based on scenery but based on close proximity to acitivites the girls could do on their own. You are also close to the convention center at Broadway at the Beach. If parents want a view of the beach, that is different story. Good luck!

Guess I disagree a bit with the Magicat....used to work at the Radisson at the Convention Center (where most of the competitions take place)...and even tho%26#39; we housed a number of teams there...and yes we did have a decent indoor pool and a nice outdoor sundeck that would stay warm if the skys were our wonderful ';Carolina'; blue....but most of the girls when they werent competeing HAD to go to the beach...no matter the temp...they may not swim, but some do ';try'; to layout....I think it may be a bit of a ';guy'; thing too....and you know...the lifeguards...LOL! Temps that time of year can get close to that 70 mark...but mainly hoover around the 60+ mark....but with the sunshine and if you can get out of the wind (try one of the wind huts at the beach!) you would be amazed at how warm it does feel.

As for the Boardwalk...its really not the worst property on the Blvd...but not one of the best either...but with the limited amount of time that most cheerleaders spend in the room...I think you%26#39;ll be fine. And, when you come to the beach...I always would prefer to stay OF.....even in the dead of winter...just something about looking out your window and seeing the ocean...that what makes this place soooooo special! You can go anywhere and stay in a place with an indoor pool....which Boardwalk does have a decent indoor pool too.

Plus you wont be too far to walk over to the competition, and to a number of places to grab a bite to eat!

:)

I said my girls laid out maybe an hour and then it was take us to the mall or somewhere.
