Cherry Grove ?

I read that some areas of Cherry Grove have no beach at high tide. Does anyone know what area this is?

Thanks,

Tony

Cherry Grove ?

At the very tip of Cherry Grove, at the inlet, high tide hits the rocks and the beach is under water. It%26#39;s only in 1 spot and that spot is right at the Cherry Grove inlet entrance. Heading north on Ocean Blvd, drive until it dead-ends into condos, that%26#39;s the spot.

Cherry Grove ?

Thanks!

Great thing about Cherry Grove is less crowds. No large resorts. Large buildings are few and far between(for now).

No problem hitting the beach around 11:00am and staking claim to spot along high tide mark with chairs or umbrella.

The high tide issue is not just at the inlet area. There are many single homes and condos along Ocean Blvd that lose their beach at high tide. I love Cherry Grove. We have vacationed there for 20 years, but the further you go toward the tip of the inlet the more beach you lose at high tide. One year we had literally a 5 foot strip of beach available to us the high tide.

High tide/low tide differential is very dramatic. You lose much of the beach at hide tide, but you can still bring a couple chairs/towels and enjoy the beach, walk, etc...you are just closer to dunes. Unless there is some tropical depresssion or worse, I have never seen the high tide consume the entire beach in Cherry Grove except by the rocks, at the inlet.

that would be arount the little river inlet
