Retal Company for Senior Week

Has anyone used www.myrtlebeachtours.com for Rentals for Senior Week. We are considering sending our 18 year old and 3 friends to North Myrtle Beach for her graduation present.

Just did a check of Elliott site. Minimum check-in age is 25. Even if parents make the reservation they might not be able to check-in. This policy may be subject to change but I%26#39;d be sure and check. Better than sending kids down and not be able to get in.

Just checked Thomas Century 21 site. They have similar minimum age policy also.

Clicked on the Myrtle Beach Tours site. Don%26#39;t know anything about them. Many of the buildings listed are nice places. So wouldn%26#39;t have any surprises or problems there. I%26#39;d say the condos are privately owned and the owners don%26#39;t have a problem renting to students.

If it was me I%26#39;d stay away from the two locations listed as ';student clusters';. I could be wrong but that sounds like trouble. The other listings would have families, married couples and probably some year round residents in the building. Less rowdy behavior.

Obviously resorts/hotels do not want to rent to Spring Breakers, alot of liability issues there. No parents around, no matter how good the kids are, things happen. The Myrtle Beach paper has no shortage of incidents during that time. I am not sure you will be able to find anything at all if you are trying to rent it in your daughters name. Many parents do rent the property in their name and I have heard of the children not being allowed in the room when it is determined no adults present. Alot to think about. Years ago when my daughter came, she learned couple lessons, first the only place that would rent to them was the absolute biggest dump in the world. It was horrible, once you open your room door, like a flood gate, kids coming and going. there was some room damage. Things get missing. Your only option may be to come with them, which I know is a fate worse than death for teens, but at least you would know what was going on. 18 yrs old, that far from home, no adults, things happen!

Tons of people use the myrtlebeachtours.com site for Spring Breakers and %26lt;25 singles. Some motels will rent to you and if your 4 travelers cause no problems; they should be fine. Some of the myrtlebeachtours pictures do not coincide.

Obviously someone rents to them because they are here in droves during the first week in June. Not as big a numbers as bike weeks are but there are alot of kids walking the blvd. We like to drive up and the blvd in the evenings and look at the crazy people, very entertaining.

The site she gave gives most of the available rentals to 25 and under in ';North'; Myrtle Beach where 99% do not rent to 25 and under. If you want your kids to be with the crowd.....Myrtle Beach proper is where they need to be. Tons of motels rent to 18 and over in Myrtle Beach...my grandson was one last year. I%26#39;m thinking it was a Hampton Inn where he and 7 of his buddies stayed? Search - Myrtle Beach hotels/motels......the site you are looking at has much of the North Myrtle availabilities to them.

Myrtle is larger and more of a mixed crowd....North Myrtle is mostly families.

Thank you for all the comments. We wanted to pick North Myrtle Beach for the kids. We thought it would be less crazy than Myrtle. They can always drive downtown to be a part of the action. We have stayed in North Myrtle during senior week and noticed more kids than usual, but not nearly the belam of downtown. I will research your suggestions. Thank you.

Just so you know......northern Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach are about 12 miles apart. North Myrtle Beach is a town.....just like Myrtle Beach is. From central Myrtle Beach to central North Myrtle Beach is ~16 miles apart. You%26#39;ve been, you probably know that.
