I keep reading mixed reviews about this hotel. We are looking for a clean motel to rest in the evenings after the guys have been golfing all day, and we girls have been shopping all day. Is this location within walking distance for shopping and sightseeing? Any personal recommendations for accomodations? We haven%26#39;t made any reservations yet, and are planning our visit in the beginning of March.

South Ocean Blvd is not really a ';walking'; distance location for shopping except Beach Stores. I mentioned on another strand, check out the Dayton House, its on preferable North Ocean Blvd. They have ocean front and across the street from ocean rooms. Locally owned, an older hotel, but very clean and well kept. If you want shopping you will have to drive, Broadway at the Beach is approxmiately a mile from Dayton House, you also have Coastal Grand Mall, largest mall in South Carolina. 2 Outlet Malls, if you want decent shopping, you will have to drive.
