Best Western Grand Strand

Hey everyone! I am coming down to Myrtle Beach in April and staying at Best Western Grand Strand. I was wondering if there was any bars within walking distance and also somewhere to eat within walking distance of the hotel.

Myrtle Beach has hundreds of bars. My concern with you ';walking'; is the particular area the hotel is in. Late at night on South OB, is not particularly, safest area of MB. If you are talking about the day time, one thing, but late at night. Also, that side of the Pavilion you will not find as many ';bars'; within walking distance. You either have to go North OB past the pavilion area, or Business 17, Broadway at the Beach. That particular area is in transition, you will find very old Mom and Pop hotels, some that are already boarded up waiting to be torn down for new condo development, some newer resorts, and block over from South OB, a much older part of MB.

You have a number of options across the street from the BW Grand Strand....just about any of the OF hotels will have a bar area, with many of those being right on the beach. Coral Beach (which is less than 1/4 mile from the BW) has a great little OF Bar, with some decent entertainment. I do agree that REAL late at night (after midnight) it may not be the best place to walk around...especially by yourself, but thats the case in most major resorts anywhere you go...just use good judgement and you%26#39;ll be fine. You will find a number of restaurants approx 4 blocks inland along Kings Hwy. Villa Romana...my fav Italian restaurant....is located at 7th Ave South on Kings Hwy...that would be close to a mile walking...but you can always take the trolley up Ocean Blvd to 7th Ave then walk the 4 blocks to Kings Hwy....so keep in mind...the bus system we have here is a great, cheap option for transportaion up and down Ocean Blvd.
