Looking for breakfast places in Charleston, SC

I will be staying at the Planters Inn - 112 North Market Street for 3 nights next week. Are there any places nearby that serve decent breakfasts without spending a lot of money? Thanks.

we enjoyed a delicoius breakfast at poogans porch. excellent service and fresh fruit

Poogans actually does not do breakfast, just a weekend brunch.

Try the Sweetwater Cafe which is not far from the market. They had delicious blueberry pancakes; they also served great hash browns, eggs, steak...all at a reasonable price.

Joseph%26#39;s and Dana%26#39;s are within a block of each other.

Both friendly,informal, and good food.

Diana%26#39;s, Joseph%26#39;s and if you have access to a car, Hominy Grill. All are good choices with friendly staff and good food.

If it is nice out and you want more of a picnic breakfast, try Kennedy%26#39;s which is actually near Holiday Inn dowtown. It is basically a bakery, but good. Can%26#39;t eat in there. Also, try Saffron which is good. It is on East Bay street. Neither of the suggestions are close to your hotel though, but are within walking distance.

If you want REAL southern food, go to justine%26#39;s! It%26#39;s a short walk from the market, and go early because the line wraps around the building! Thats when you know it%26#39;s good. Famous chef Rachael Ray enjoyed Joseph%26#39;s when she went on her show ';40$ a day.'; There%26#39;s always atlanta bread company too.

Definitely, Joseph%26#39;s. The ambience is ';simple';; the food is great.
