First trip to Charleston in Nov., where to stay?

We just decided to drive up to Charleston next month, maybe 2 or 3 nights mid-week during the week of Nov. 13. Any recommendations for a nice B %26amp; B or Inn with a good location for walking/biking to historic area?

We don%26#39;t want to break the bank, as this will be our ';second'; vacation this year. But we%26#39;ve always wanted to see this city and hate to waste DH%26#39;s vacation time by staying at home!

I%26#39;ll start going through the forum to get ideas of places to see, restaurants, etc., but would appreciate some input into where to stay. Thanks ahead of time!!!

We have some really beautiful B %26amp; B%26#39;s in Downtown Charleston. You can check with the King George IV, the 1837 Bed %26amp; Breakfast or 1843 Bed %26amp; Breakfast, all of which are pretty economical.

O%26#39;Melia, thanks for the information. I%26#39;ll start looking through your suggestions!

We stayed at Fulton Lane Inn - very nice, convenient, and reasonable. For hotels- Mills House is elegant yet affordable and convenient. Best wishes.

The best B and B in Charleston,SC I have stayed at was the Governor%26#39;s House Inn. I stayed at several ones downtown (so you can walk to everything!) and the Governor%26#39;s Inn was the most beautiful in my opinion. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully appointed, the bathrooms have granite/marble tops, and the property is very well maintained. There is even parking in the back so you can park your car near by and not in a parking deck. The prices vary depending on which room you pick, but all the rooms I saw were all very beautiful. Try to pick a B and B in the historic section. Driving in Charleston can be confusing with all of their one-way streets. This B and B is located on a major road so it is very easy to find. They also have a really nice breakfast which you can have sent to your bedroom.
