Marina at Grande Dunes

To MBConcierge,

I have heard you mention a restaurant of some sorts at the marina. Will be visiting in November and would like to know more about it.

Does it serve lunch and dinner?

Will it still be open or does it close for the winter?

What type of menu and how pricey is it?

How do I get to it?

Thanks ,Tony

Marina at Grande Dunes

Hey there Tony!

Well, by November there will be a few new restaurants at the Marina....you have the Anchor Cafe, which is an open-air cafe/bar...so it really depends on the weather if they are open or not...on a pleasent day (temps in the upper 50-70%26#39;s with sunshine) its really pleasent...and its great to sit right along the waterway and watch all those nice boats pass by. The food is really good and for Grande Dunes, not real pricey..avg meal I would say approx $10. Mostly sandwiches, salads, appetizers...etc, but they do a couple of ';specials'; each day that are full entrees. Can be a bit pricey on drinks (house well are $6.50). I love the Crab/Corn Quesadiallas, or the crispy chicken wrap....and one of the best ruebens or burgers on the beach!

After Nov 1st, the restaurant in the hotel will open....Waterscapes....I%26#39;ve been privy to their menu, and tho%26#39; a bit pricey, the quality and quantity is there....plus the view will be fantastic! If you cant dine oceanfront....the other waterfront is a nice subsitute! Waterscapes will be open all day (and they will have a fresh bake shop there too! Yum!) Anchor Cafe is open for lunch and dinner only......

Bon appetite!

:)

Thanks for the reply, knew I could count on you.The marina is on the 17 bypass side of the waterway isn%26#39;t it?

Yep.....right across from Dixie Stampede. With a great view of (I think) the 14th hole of the Resort Course at Grande Dunes......I thought you would appreciate that, being a golfer and all!
