We have reservations first week of April. Has anyone stayed here? We are staying in the River Crossing Section...whatever that means. Also, I read where you take a tram to the beach. Is the beach far away??
Barefoot Resort N.Myrtle Beach
While I can%26#39;t say exactly how far it is from Barefoot Resort to the ocean in terms of miles . . . take a look at a map of North Myrtle Beach. Find Higway 17. This is the main (4-lane) highway through North MB and MB. The ocean is east of Hwy. 17. Barefoot Resort is West of Hwy. 17. Even if you don%26#39;t mind walking say 2 to 5 miles, you%26#39;ll have that highway to contend with. We%26#39;re on our way there in a couple of days, but we go for the golf not the ocean.

Hi Bigo, Barefoot is located on the Intercoastal waterway,
on the other side from Barefoot Shopping center. I would
say it is less than 2 miles to the beach. Not sure of the Tram
Schedule I know it is more limited in the off season. Barefoot is primarly a golf community and soon they will put in a Marina.
Bigo-
Hey, we are also staying there the first full week of April! I can%26#39;t wait. From what our vacation group said the place is fabulous! Also, they told me that the tram runs every 45 mins.. They also said that you may want to bring your own beach towels. Do you know of any websites where we could look up local attractions? Also do you have the local phone number for them?! Hope you have a perfect vacation!

Sassy....
Barefoot resort is located directly across from Barefoot Landing which is a great little shopping, eating, entertainment area...some of the units do overlook the Intercoastal Waterway...and in April the waterway should be pretty busy with both local boat traffic and those larger boats and sailboats returning from warmer waters south of us. The resort is within walking distance to some decent courses....4 in fact (Fazio, Love, Dye, and Norman designed courses)...but not within walking distance to the beach...in fact, a bit of a drive to the beach. The local number for the resort is 843-390-7900.
As for local attractions, here are a few websites:
www.bflanding.com
www.broadwayatthebeach.com
www.myrtlebeachtrips.com
www.nascarspeedpark.com
Hope this helps! Have fun!
:)
Wow, thank you! That was very helpful. We are going with four adults and five kids. Sounds like we will have plenty to do! I appreciate your help with this! There wasn%26#39;t much online for this particular resort. Thanks again!
Sassy..............
Have never stayed there but have driven through a few times. Very large complex and no doubt every ammenty you can think of.
About as far as you can be off the beach and still say you were at the beach. At least two miles as the crow flys.
First week of April it won%26#39;t matter that much. For shopping, golfing and dining you%26#39;re in a great location. Short hop to the south to Broadway At The Beach or north to Calabash.
Wouldn%26#39;t bother with the tram to the beach. Wonder if they even run it in April. Five to ten minute drive to the beach depending on lights. Several public beach access locations along the beach in NMB. Should be marked with blue and white signs. Can%26#39;t miss em.
Free parking and wooden walkway across the dunes. Should be pretty empty in April compared to summer. Take a few minutes and scout them out. Some have porta-potties and some don%26#39;t. Might be important if you%26#39;re out on the beach very long.
Hello, We stayed at Barefoot Resort.. in August of
2006..
Its a beautiful resort..and the MAIN pool is just beautiful....
this would be in the TOWER AREA!.. :)
We went to the beach , we drove our vehicle.. we always
found a spot..
My only complaint.. is we were told we would have access to
the Beach Cabana.. which has bathrooms, and a covered area..
and a sun deck..However.. when we arrived.. we were told it was for
OWNER%26#39;s Only.. which I could certainly understand..
but NOT ONE CHAIR was being used..
But YES I would go back to the resort..
The North Tower condos are right behind the marina on the Intercoastal Waterway, about 1-1.5 miles from the ocean! My wife walked it often in her upper 60%26#39;s -70. The River Crossing section is on the backside of the Love course and would be ~ 3.5 miles to the ocean.
